Spending a vacation in Mumbai and its nearby places was my first ever solo tour. A huge rush of excitement and few challenges was what filled this entire trip. And, it happened to be my best experience ever. No matter, what adjectives you put before Mumbai, it falls short to describe this city of dreams. Although, we consider Mumbai to be the costliest Indian city, I visited all the major places at a great budget.

Marine Drive

The eye-catching city lights surrounding the entire Marine Drive gives it the name ‘Queen’s Necklace’. Marine drive is a 4km long stretch in South Bombay. It looks magnificent from the birds-eye-view. Hundreds of people gather here every evening for their serene surroundings. The breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea from the stretch is sheer magic.

Juhu Beach

Juhu Beach is one of the largest and wildly popular tourist spots of Mumbai. Siddhivinayak Temple

Siddhivinayak Temple is the absolute symbol of grand architecture and beauty. Built in 1801, the temple welcomes thousands of pilgrims every single day. Hence, even Bollywood Celebrities climb to this enormous temple to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha.

You must reach the temple by 4.30 AM for Morning Arti. In this way, you can easily avoid long lines. There is also another special queue for senior citizens.  Try to visit the temple during weekdays. Be careful with the children as it’s generally very crowded.


Kanheri Caves

Nestled amidst the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Kanheri Caves is of historical importance. It is greatly famous for its peace and calmness. One can see the amazing waterfall which is very close to the cave. The seasonal waterfall gets plenty of water during the storm. The stupa present at its gateway is yet another splendid architecture. Hence, it greatly catches the attention of many tourists.

The Goregaon Film City earns a lot of limelight from all over India due to its charm. It has studios, fake lakes, gardens, and many other films backgrounds.
