At an altitude of 9,432 ft, the Triund top is accessible in all seasons. In winters, the blanket of snow covers the entire area only to make it appear like a wonderland. In summers, the lush meadows shine like emerald.

Stamina : Triund lake trek is an easy trek that serves as a perfect choice for beginners. The 9km trail doesn’t require a great deal of stamina.
How To Reach:
Nearest airport: Kangra airport, Gaggal is connected to all the major airports. Mcleodganj is 18.1 km from the airhead. Private taxis are easily available
Nearest railway station: Pathankot railway station is the nearest railhead. Distance between Pathankot and Mcleodganj is 91kms. Easiest way to reach Pathankot is to take a taxi.

- The trek involves steady descent.
Day 1: Mcleodganj – Triund
Mcleodganj is a beautiful suburb in the Kangra district. The place is home to a large population of Tibetan and thus portrays Tibetan culture amazingly. The trek to Triund is soaked with the vistas of green meadow and majestic hills. Triund is 9km away from Mcleodganj, it takes about 4 hours to cover the distance. The journey takes you through mixed forests of oak, rhododendron and Deodar. Situated on a ridge, Triund holds a terrific view of Dhaulandar range on one side and the Kangra valley on the other side. Get ready for an outstanding camping experience at a height of 9432ft under star studded night sky. Accommodation in tents.
Day 2: Triund – Mcleodganj
Wake up to the scenic view of the hills and the valley. You can’t stop but admire the beauty of nature portrayed stupendously far away from the pollution of cosmopolitan cities. Trek back to the base camp of Mcleodganj. The trek is mostly descending.
